Job Description:

The role of the Maintenance Team Member involves working as part of a dedicated team responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of a golf course. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic outdoor environment while developing specialized skills in turf management and landscaping.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain all course areas, including greens, collars, approaches, tees, fairways, roughs, clubhouse surroundings, and common grounds across the property using various types of equipment.
  • Perform ball mark repairs on greens and fill divots on fairways and tee surfaces to ensure consistent playability.
  • Change hole locations, reposition tee markers, and maintain all on-course accessories to enhance the overall golfing experience.
  • Rake and condition sand bunkers to ensure they remain playable throughout the round.
  • Edge and maintain bunkers, cart paths, curbs, and parking areas for a clean and professional appearance.
  • Trim and groom areas around irrigation heads, valve boxes, and yardage markers to prevent damage and promote efficient water usage.
  • Assist with topdressing, verti-grooming, and verti-cutting of greens for optimal turf health and consistency.
  • Remove loose debris and litter from the course to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Rotate and position course signage, including directional markers, ropes, and stakes to guide cart traffic efficiently.

This is a hands-on position that plays a key role in delivering high-quality course conditions that meet the expectations of golfers at a premier facility.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50-75 pounds in various outdoor conditions
  • Strong communication skills with a positive and professional approach when interacting with colleagues, guests, and management
  • Previous experience in golf course maintenance is an asset but not required
  • Understanding of workplace hazards and adherence to safety protocols
  • Strong ability to collaborate and contribute to a team-oriented environment
