About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an SRA Supervisor at Healius. As a key member of our pathology laboratory team, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing manual and automated diagnostic testing with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensuring compliance with records maintenance and recording of results in line with protocols.
  • Maintaining all equipment and operating equipment in line with protocols.
  • Participating in routine and audit-related Quality Assurance activities.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and the development of new assays as required.
  • Liaising with internal and/or external stakeholders regarding test results or referrals as necessary.

About You

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the essential requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science), or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge, expertise, and skills within the respective discipline.
  • Experience in working in a pathology laboratory.
  • Experience in the supervision of laboratory assistants in a pathology laboratory in the performance of their duties.
  • Sound knowledge of QC, QAP, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and implement quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation/certification.
  • Perform duties with a high degree of independence and with infrequent supervision.
  • Outstanding commitment to quality and excellence.
  • Willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Positive attitude toward achieving outcomes and being a cohesive, contributing team member.
  • Strong time management, interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to cope and thrive in a busy environment.
