About the Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an SRA Supervisor at Healius. As a key member of our pathology laboratory, you will be responsible for:
- Performing manual and automated diagnostic testing
- Executing routine procedures from specimen reception to result execution for pathological diagnosis, including specimen dissection
- Assisting with stock control and maintaining equipment
- Ensuring compliance with records maintenance and result recording in line with protocols
- Maintaining current scientific knowledge and participating in quality assurance activities
- Contributing to continuous improvement and development of new assays as required
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding test results or referrals
About You
To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the essential requirements:
- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science), or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience, knowledge, expertise, and skills within the respective discipline
- Experience in working in a pathology laboratory and supervising laboratory assistants
- Sound knowledge of QC, QAP, and troubleshooting
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and identify quality and service improvement activities
- Perform duties with a high degree of independence and infrequent supervision
- Outstanding commitment to quality and excellence
- Strong time management, interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
