Position Overview

As a Site Reliability Engineer at ServiceNow, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our infrastructure. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing and resolving issues, as well as automating processes to enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver sustainable solutions to challenges within our systems.
  • Utilize your software development and systems engineering skills to mitigate recurring problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance infrastructure reliability and performance through improved design.
  • Foster a culture that prioritizes automation, reducing manual tasks and promoting scalable solutions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proficient in Linux systems.
  • Experience in coding, preferably with Python or JavaScript.
  • Strong networking knowledge, including IP addressing and routing protocols.
  • Familiarity with databases such as MySQL and Postgres, including performance and high availability considerations.
  • Experience in monitoring systems, applications, and networks.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work one weekend day in a four-day work week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud architecture or web application engineering.
  • A degree in a technical field, either bachelor's or master's.
