Critical Care Physician

Latrobe Regional Hospital is seeking a Critical Care Physician to lead our Intensive Care Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for the medical management and provision of Specialist Intensive Care Services for patients at our hospital.

The Critical Care Physician will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of critical care services is consistent with our clinical governance framework and core values. The role includes training and supervision of medical and nursing staff as required.

The Intensive Care Unit has full monitoring abilities with facilities for provision of all the services of Intensive Care, including Invasive Cardiovascular monitoring, Mechanical Ventilation, Haemofiltration, Coronary Care services and High Dependency Services.

Our Critical Care Physicians are supported by 24/7 Registrar coverage.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Fellowship of the CICM or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
