Job Title: Staff Specialist General Physician
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Specialist General Physician to join our team at the Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospitals. The successful candidate will provide consultant ward service to a General Medical Unit, supervise and teach junior medical officers, and attend regular departmental meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consultant ward service to a General Medical Unit at Royal Darwin Hospital.
- Supervise, teach and support junior medical officers (Advanced Trainee, Basic Physician Trainee, Resident Medical Officer, Interns, medical students).
- Attend regular Departmental Meetings (GACM Consultant Meeting, Mortality & Morbidity, Journal Club, Radiology Meeting).
Requirements:
AHPRA Specialist registration with FRACP in General and Acute Care Medicine. Consideration will be given to applicants with fellowship in another specialty if they can demonstrate proven equivalent skills and experience in General Medicine.
