Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our team at Northern Territory PHN. As a Primary Care Physician, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive primary health services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver culturally sensitive and comprehensive healthcare services to clients
  • Provide primary care, women's health, and maternal well-being services
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Develop and implement effective health programs and services
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of health policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Registration as a Specialist General Practitioner with AHPRA
  • Fellowship status in either RACGP or ACCRM, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in General Practice
  • Post-graduate qualifications, including a Diploma in obstetrics or a minimum of 5 years' experience in antenatal care
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective engagement with individuals from diverse cultural and social backgrounds
  • Hold or willingness to acquire, MTOP and IUD training
  • Demonstrated comprehension of Primary Health Care principles within the Indigenous Health context
  • Accreditation as a supervisor for GP registrars
  • Expertise in navigating Medicare intricacies and the nuances of the Practice Incentive Scheme
  • A comprehensive grasp of the Aboriginal Health Workers Career Structure/Competencies
What We Offer
  • Exceptional remuneration ranging from $226,948 to $239,917 per annum, complemented by superannuation benefits
  • Not-for-profit salary packaging, up to $15,990 per annum
  • Generous annual leave of 6 weeks
  • An additional 5 days of paid leave during the year-end shutdown period, provided on top of your annual leave
