Senior Program Officer

The Early Childhood and Youth group is responsible for the effective implementation of the Government's Child Care package, including the administration of the Child Care Subsidy and Child Care Safety Net.
The team is geographically diverse and works collaboratively with other areas of ECCC and external stakeholders to address considerable interest from the media and the Minister's Office.
The successful candidate will support design and establishment work and delivery of closed, non-competitive grant processes, by performing a range of program, policy, and stakeholder engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design and establishment of grant projects, including liaison with the Community Grants Hub and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Draft, prepare and disseminate a range of documents, including briefings for Ministers and senior executives.
- Drive evidence-based policy advice and innovations in conjunction with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Qualifications in a related field, such as Education, Policy or Program Management, are desirable but not required.
- Experience in grant program design and management.
- Demonstrated ability to drive evidence-based policy advice and innovations in conjunction with stakeholders.
What's on Offer:
The successful candidate will be offered an APS6 hourly rate contract, notionally a 12-month opportunity. Locations across Australia will be considered.
As this role is with the Federal Government, only Australian citizens that hold a baseline clearance or a willingness to obtain, will be considered for this vacancy.
