About the Role:
This APS6 Senior Program Officer manages pre-award research grants, ensuring smooth applications and funding processes. You'll engage with stakeholders, handle documentation, and use internal systems, requiring strong time management and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and implement pre-award grant processes for prestigious research schemes
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including grant applicants and expert reviewers
- Ensure accuracy in grant documents and perform data checking
- Operate the ARC's Research Management System (RMS) and other software tools
- Coordinate meetings, presentations, and other key functions
- Provide cross-team support within the Programs Branch as required
- Maintain a customer-centric approach in responding to internal and external queries
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, engaging with diverse stakeholders
- Proven project and time management skills, capable of meeting conflicting deadlines
- Exceptional organisational abilities, with a high level of attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with problem-solving skills for technical issues
- Experience in working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Previous experience in grant selection and management (desirable but not essential)
