Senior Program Officer, Communications and Engagement

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Officer to join our Communications and Engagement Team within the Remote Employment Branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a range of internal and external stakeholder relationships and networks on behalf of the branch.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and manage workflows to ensure effective communication and engagement strategies are implemented.
- Liaise across the remote employment branch to understand and meet business needs.
- Develop and implement communications and engagement strategies and plans for remote employment programs and services.
- Coordinate communication and engagement projects from ideation through to implementation.
- Manage the allocation of job tasks related to communications and engagement service offering within the branch.
- Facilitate coordination of communication and engagement activities across the branch.
- Evaluate and gather data to measure the impact of communication and engagement activities.
- Professional experience in communications, media, and marketing.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate respectfully and positively with First Nations peoples and communities.
- Well-developed organisational skills, including the ability to adapt and change to manage competing priorities.
This position is Identified, which signifies that the role has strong involvement in matters relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The successful candidate will require a high level of cultural competency, including a demonstrated understanding of the matters impacting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
EligibilityTo be eligible for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment screening checks, including an Australian Criminal History Check.
