CSSD Manager Job Description

As a CSSD Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational management of our Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) within the Perioperative Services area.

The successful candidate will serve as an advocate for our Quality Management System and promote a safe work environment by implementing best practices and adhering to relevant standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring seamless operational management of the current CSSD Department.
  • Acting as a champion for promoting a culture of safety and quality within the team.
  • Supporting your team members to achieve streamlined operational management.
  • Maintaining compliance with accreditation standards and best practices in the CSSD specialty area.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this challenging opportunity, applicants must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum 4–5 years' experience in a senior role within a CSSD environment.
  • Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation from an accredited provider.
  • Australian Work Rights.
  • Strong knowledge of accreditation standards ACHS/AS/NZ 4187 Standards and HICMR.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate computer literacy, including MS Office and databases.
  • An interest in promoting best practice patient care.
  • A focus on professional development.
