As a Category Business Manager, you will be responsible for further creating, building, and executing a compelling vision for the hardware category and driving adaptive change through the organisation to support sales and category management processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Have full end-to-end accountability for the customer offer within the hardware category, including decision-making relating to ranging, promotional calendars, sales and category targets, product availability, merchandising, supplier strategy and support, pricing, and COG's management.
  • Review and form pricing, sales, and marketing strategies, ensuring expertise knowledge is applied in forecasting, inventory management, commercial/trading terms negotiation, and supplier management and development.
  • As hardware category sales start to take off and range expands, appoint at least 2 Sales Reps to cover VIC and QLD markets, while focusing on the NSW market in conjunction with your Category Management role.
  • Provide leadership to customers, developing and capitalising upon retailer and supplier relationships, and focus on growth and sustainability of the business through competitive and profitable promotions and complaint retailing standards.

The ability to influence a diverse internal and external stakeholder network to drive sales and introduce 'best practice' category management principles and processes will be critical to success in this role.
