Concreting Team Supervisor

The Concreting Team Supervisor will oversee a small team of concreters to deliver high-quality maintenance and repairs on Council's concrete infrastructure assets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the team to ensure efficient allocation of daily work, ensuring they have necessary materials and resources to complete each task.
  • Inspecting defects or issues in concrete infrastructure, analysing fault causes and developing safe, effective solutions for prompt remediation.
  • Coordinating maintenance activities and schedules, as well as keeping up-to-date and accurate records using relevant technology/software.
  • Ensuring the proper use and upkeep of all plant and equipment, ensuring safety compliance in line with manufacturer guidelines and Council's safety policies.
  • Communicating effectively with internal teams, contractors, and community stakeholders to support seamless, quality service delivery.

Direct involvement in general labouring duties such as repairing concrete structures, maintaining pathways, kerbs, and channels, and addressing defects in various civil infrastructure as required.

A strong leader with recent, proven experience undertaking concreting tasks and demonstrated leadership skills in a team setting. Strong communication and problem-solving skills will assist in engaging with colleagues and stakeholders, as well as managing work in a safety-first environment.

Key qualifications include:

  • A current truck licence (minimum Medium Rigid - MR).
  • Construction Induction card (or willingness to obtain before commencing).
  • Traffic Management Implementation licence and a High Risk Work Dogging (HRW DG) licence (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of starting).

A Certificate III in Civil Construction or a similar qualification in a relevant field is highly desirable, however, this qualification is essential for advancing through the Crew Leader Framework.
