This role offers a unique opportunity to develop and implement impactful communication strategies that strengthen our organisation's visibility, reputation, and alignment with stakeholders.

We are seeking a talented Communications Specialist who will blend creativity with purpose, managing multi-channel content, engaging with key stakeholders, and ensuring culturally appropriate messaging across all platforms.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in a communications role, preferably within the not-for-profit or community sector. They will possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, experience managing social media platforms, and creating engaging digital content.

As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with our organisational goals and values. This will involve leading high-impact campaigns to promote initiatives and amplify our voice nationally.

You will craft compelling content for digital and print channels, including social media, newsletters, press releases, and reports. You will also maintain consistency in tone and messaging, ensuring alignment with our brand and mission.

In addition, you will cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, media outlets, government agencies, and corporate partners. You will ensure culturally responsive, accurate, and engaging communication across all platforms.

A strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and a commitment to advancing their social and emotional wellbeing is essential. A collaborative approach, strong time management skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities are also required.

This role offers a competitive salary package, including superannuation, four weeks of annual leave (with leave loading), salary sacrificing options, and a mobile phone allowance.
