We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our environmental planning and approvals team in Sydney NSW.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead and manage an approvals and planning team to secure major project approvals for clients in the renewable energy, mining, infrastructure and industrial sectors.
- Oversee environmental assessment projects and related approvals management to support clients' capital project delivery.
- BUILD and develop a high-performing team, providing guidance and mentorship to consultants.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the nation and globe to drive business growth and development.
- Promote innovation within the technical community to stay ahead of client needs and differentiate us in the market.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- 15+ years of experience in environmental planning and approvals, impact assessment, working within WA and Commonwealth legislative requirements.
- High level of technical competence in environmental planning and approvals, due diligence, land use planning, post-approval management and broad knowledge of impact assessment best practices.
- Strong relationships with major clients.
- Australian work authorization.
- In-depth understanding of project approval challenges.
- Business acumen to understand business risk and corporate opportunities.
