Senior Hotel Accountant Opportunity

This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic finance team, overseeing critical financial operations and ensuring compliance.

The successful candidate will support and assist the Financial Controller in achieving departmental performance and financial excellence.

This is a three-month fixed-term contract based in Darwin, with potential for long-term opportunities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Close month-end and year-end journals, compile financial reports, and provide management insights.
  • Reconcile bank statements and prepare timely and accurate financial reports.
  • Manage quarterly GST submissions, corporate tax compilation, and submission.
  • Supervise the finance team, recruit, develop staff, and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Deliver staff training, manage team performance, and foster a high-performing environment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Accounting or Finance (minimum required).
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role within hospitality/finance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting systems.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
