Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned Risk Leader to spearhead the risk management function for our organisation.

  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead, coach and support a team of professionals to ensure successful delivery of the risk strategy.
  • Assurance and Audit Plans: Oversee the implementation of assurance and audit plans that meet registration requirements.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Collaborate with stakeholders to assess financial and non-financial risks, embedding effective controls and mitigation strategies across processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Partner with teams to ensure adherence to relevant global and local requirements and industry best practices.
  • Incident Management: Oversee operational and compliance incidents, including system errors, inefficiencies and fraud risks. Conduct investigations, identify root causes and implement remedial actions.
About You

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in risk management, compliance and/or audit practices, preferably within the disability or financial services sector.

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to foster a positive culture and drive high performance.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior risk leadership role, ideally within financial services or disability-related industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements relevant to services.
  • Experience engaging with regulators or external bodies.
  • Demonstrated success in embedding a quality improvement and risk-aware culture.
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical, interpretation and reporting skills, including excellent problem-solving abilities to address complex policies and implement solutions.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a commercial discipline such as commerce, finance, accounting, law or equivalent.
