About This Role:

  • Join our community as an Activities Coordinator where you will play a vital part in creating a positive and engaging experience for residents.

We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to coordinate and deliver fun, inclusive and exciting events on a regular schedule. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in developing group programs or events and be genuinely interested in improving the lives of seniors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver activities that promote independence, learning new hobbies and enabling social connections
  • Create weekly schedules for all new events and distribute newsletters highlighting upcoming events
  • Be the welcoming face to new residents by ensuring they are engaged and supported in their transition to our community
  • Complete general adhoc duties

  • A high level of communication and organisation skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
  • Creative ideas to create FUN events
  • Sound literacy, numeracy and IT skills

Requirements:

  • Current COVID-19 vaccination including booster dose (required)
  • Current police check clearance (required, but we can complete for you)
  • Previous experience in similar roles (such as Diversional Therapist or Coordinating Community Events etc.)

About You:

  • Experience working in aged care or a related field
  • Sound judgment and decision making skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
