Netball Legacy Program Coordinator Role

The Netball World Cup 2027 planning process relies heavily on the Legacy Manager's expertise. The successful candidate will oversee the implementation of a comprehensive Legacy Plan to enhance netball participation and engagement across Australia.

  • Create and manage the operational execution of the Netball World Cup Legacy Plan, ensuring long-term community benefits are realized following the 2027 event.
  • Develop strategic projects and initiatives outlined in the Legacy Plan, focusing on increasing opportunities for participation and engagement across all levels of netball.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to secure funding for legacy initiatives.
  • Coordinate a working group to support the delivery of localised initiatives.
  • Partner with delivery teams to design evidence-based programs fostering sustainable growth in women's leadership, participation, and engagement in netball.
  • Prepare project plans, scheduling milestones, engagement activities, and workstreams to ensure timely and effective delivery.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement by coordinating regular consultation forums, community initiatives, and key meetings, including materials preparation.
  • Implement internal and external processes streamlining operations and encouraging shared learning within the netball ecosystem.
  • Lead communication efforts throughout the consultation, design, and delivery phases of Legacy projects.
  • Consolidate stakeholder feedback into project designs, funding proposals, and official reports.
  • Ensure clear timelines and deliverables for stakeholder input on major initiatives and facilitate timely information provision.
  • Prioritize and sequence project deliverables to optimize resourcing, funding alignment, and strategic impact.
  • Oversee evaluation report preparation, tracking impact against defined KPIs and outcomes within the Legacy Plan.

  • You're a detail-oriented professional with experience in dynamic environments.
  • Bring energy, initiative, and a passion for sport and meaningful engagement.
  • Ideal requirements include:
  • 5-6 years of project management or related experience;
  • Proven experience in, and/or understanding of sport events and engagement programs;
  • Exceptional written communication skills;
  • High degree of organizational, analytical, and presentational skills;
  • Resourceful with attention to detail;
  • Proactive problem-solving with an innovative mindset;
  • Experience with design and program implementation;
  • Organized and methodical with strong project management capabilities;
  • Able to thrive in consultative, collaborative environments and manage multiple stakeholders effectively;
  • Capable of managing across multiple reporting lines, both internally and externally;
  • Able to work autonomously and with a project-based approach;
  • Experience with planning and executing strategic initiatives;
  • A critical thinker using data and evidence as a foundation for developing frameworks and programs;
  • Good research skills and techniques;
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and collaborate with staff across departments;
  • Flexible and agile to respond to diverse one-off projects;
  • A passion and understanding for sport;
  • MBA or degree in business, sports, or project management.
