The Cultural Heritage Program Lead will champion the city's historical and cultural legacy, managing the Cultural Heritage team and developing heritage programs, including the Civic Archive, digitisation initiatives, exhibitions, and interpretive signage.
About the Role- Oversee the ongoing development and operation of the Civic Archive and associated digitisation program for heritage records.
- Support the Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee and convene the Civic Collection Acquisition and Deaccession Working Group.
- Oversee the design and delivery of key projects, and programs that deliver historical and cultural heritage information to the community.
Key characteristics we're seeking in our ideal candidate include a deep passion for cultural heritage, relevant experience and qualifications in cultural heritage, museum studies or a related field, as well as strong project management skills.
The successful applicant will be collaborative, community-focused, and skilled at building meaningful engagement with diverse stakeholders. They will have a proven track record of delivering innovative heritage programs and will be eager to make a lasting impact on our community.
