Job Description

The Cultural Heritage Program Lead plays a pivotal role in shaping the city's historical and cultural legacy. This individual will be responsible for championing the city's rich heritage, managing the Cultural Heritage team, and leading the development of heritage programs.

  • Oversee the ongoing development and operation of the Civic Archive and associated digitisation program for heritage records.
  • Support the Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee and convene the Civic Collection Acquisition and Deaccession Working Group.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of key projects and programs that deliver historical and cultural heritage information to the community.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience and qualifications in cultural heritage, museum studies, or a related field. They should have a strong foundation in heritage research and project management, as well as excellent collaboration and communication skills.

  • Candidates with experience in heritage research and project management are highly sought after.
  • A strong background in museum studies or a related field is essential for this role.
