At MedHealth, our expert team of healthcare professionals supports thousands of people with illnesses, disabilities, or injuries. We offer tailored solutions through workplace rehabilitation, counseling, injury prevention, and employment assistance.

We are seeking a professional with a background in Psychology/Rehabilitation Counselling to work in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Adelaide. In this role, you will enjoy flexibility and autonomy while working closely with a strong team of skilled professionals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Effective case management with manageable caseloads and support from experienced Rehabilitation Assistants
  • Applying clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes for injured workers
  • Developing and implementing injury prevention and workplace education programs to promote health and wellbeing
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical professionals, and allied health professionals to achieve optimal results
  • Working across various schemes, including workers' compensation, compulsory third-party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs

Essential qualifications include:

  • Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation (desired)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Compassion, kindness, and empathy
  • Strong time management skills
  • A current valid Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences, or Rehabilitation Counselling
  • General or Provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC)
