About the Position
Reporting directly to the Head of Human Resources Australia, this role is pivotal in embedding the HR strategy within the Australian operations. You will be accountable for delivering high-quality, proactive HR guidance and support to both internal and external stakeholders. This position will primarily focus on implementing cultural transformation initiatives that foster a safe and respectful workplace, while also assisting local and site-based teams in effective personnel management processes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Execute the strategic HR business plan for the Australasian division.
• Develop tailored plans for specific projects that align with the overall vision of Contract Mining.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to leaders and HR Business Partners.
• Assist in the creation, negotiation, and implementation of relevant Enterprise Agreements.
• Oversee formal grievance investigations and dispute resolutions as necessary.
• Manage applications submitted to the Fair Work Commission and represent the company where appropriate.
• Collaborate with the Head of Human Resources Australia to:
• Evaluate the ongoing state of psychological safety within the Australian division.
• Design, implement, and assess suitable educational programs for leaders and employees.
• Review systems and processes that support safe and respectful workplaces.
• Promote robust diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives while championing employee engagement, culture, and well-being.
• Facilitate the execution of employee lifecycle activities, including remuneration and benefits, talent management, and organizational development.
• Support the company’s tendering processes.
Required Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
• A tertiary qualification or substantial professional experience in a senior HR generalist role, preferably within the mining or resources sector.
• Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to cultivate strong working relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills to assess performance and determine necessary actions.
• Ability to influence and drive organizational change.
• Proven knowledge of employment legislation, awards, agreements, policies, and best practices.
• Outstanding organizational skills, capable of managing multiple diverse projects.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is desirable.
