Lead Pricing Strategist

You will spearhead the Deposits Pricing & Governance (DPG) Centre of Excellence for Pricing, Analytics, and Data Science.

The DPG Centre will provide key insights and data science support across the broader DPG Crew, manage regulatory reporting for the DPG and Open Banking Crews, and support frontline teams with pricing-related matters for select deposit products.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the broader Everyday Banking Customer Value Proposition strategy as we work to enhance our market-leading proposition.

  • Leading a team of experts in Product, Analytics, and Data Science
  • Developing and delivering a strategic pricing strategy
  • Managing day-to-day interest rates across multiple products
  • Overseeing the short, medium, and long-term performance and profitability of the deposit product portfolio by understanding and balancing all business levers
  • Enhancing Retail Deposits pricing decision tools/assets
  • Collaborating with the Acquisition, Engagement & Retention Crew to develop and enhance price offers
  • Working with the broader DPG Crew to deliver product and pricing strategies that enhance our product proposition
  • Monitoring and responding to competitor risks, industry/market trends, regulatory changes, compliance issues, and Reserve Bank monetary policy impacts on product portfolio performance
Requirements
  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to lead a diverse team and align their efforts with organisational goals
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to drive P&L outcomes through pricing, market analysis, and interest rate management
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Expertise in navigating regulatory requirements and managing compliance
  • Stakeholder Management: Proficient in building and maintaining relationships across various business units and with external regulators
  • Product Management: Experience in managing product portfolios, including pricing, risk management, and market positioning
