Job Overview

We are seeking a Digital Content Manager to oversee the creation and implementation of digital content across our platforms.

This is a 12-month fixed-term role that requires a high level of creativity, technical expertise and project management skills.

The successful candidate will have experience in managing or controlling a website Content Management System and be able to work with multiple CMS platforms.

A strong understanding of online search tools and concepts is also required, as well as excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

About the Role
  • Create lovable digital experiences by managing digital content and functionality
  • Monitor online feedback and ensure guests can find the information they need on our website
  • Support internal projects for website content and publishing dependencies ranging from campaigns through to larger scale projects
Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure consistent content layout and styling across various tools
  2. Manage content through both CMS and codebase formats (notably html and CSS)
  3. Adhere to Website Quality Assurance and best practice onsite
  4. Review and continuously optimise website functionality by suggesting new enhancements for guest experiences and prioritise these based on impact to the Airline
  5. Contribute to author enhancements across various CMS to increase efficiency and functionality for authors
  6. Troubleshoot CMS issues and maintain content and system to ensure no issues occur
  7. Ensure digital content meets the requirements of the website style guide and content reflects the Virgin tone of voice
Requirements
  • Experience managing or controlling a website Content Management System
  • Ability to work with multiple CMS platforms
  • Proven skills in managing targeted content, publishing & advertising schedules
  • Intermediate experience in operating a wide range of web related software packages such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Dreamweaver)
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud products, notably AEM and Target (ideal)
  • Experience in website usability and SEO
  • Ability to think logically and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Sound understanding of online search tools and concepts
  • Airline and/or commercial ECommerce experience highly regarded
  • Understanding of commercial website advertising
  • Basic HTML and coding experience (desirable)
  • Experience in web accessibility, WCAG, DOT (desirable)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in E-Commerce/Information Technology (desirable)
  • Qualification in web design (desirable)
