The team supports businesses worldwide by processing payments, managing marketplaces, and assisting entrepreneurs in launching internet businesses. They operate system components, databases, high availability & disaster recovery, AWS cloud infrastructure, Linux servers, container orchestration, mesh networking, service discovery, change management, and network edge infrastructure.

Job Description

As a Technical Leader, you will drive forward progress across multiple organizations for critical initiatives with direct correlation to the company's bottom line.

  • Create and own technical roadmaps for large cross-cutting efforts that span the Core Infrastructure with impact on the entire organization.
  • Develop partnerships with organizations spanning Infrastructure, Service Platform, Developer Experience, Data Platform, Product Engineering, Finance, Risk, Operations, and GTM teams, collaborating closely with leaders and stakeholders.
  • Establish project ownership and contribute to prioritization and execution with appropriate urgency.
  • Present clear analysis to senior leaders, enabling them to make tough decisions with tradeoffs.
  • Maintain excellent judgment and operate with minimal oversight.
  • Make impactful contributions throughout the project lifecycle from scoping to design, coding, and operations.

  • A minimum of 15+ years of engineering experience or equivalent work experience reflecting domain expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience leading company-wide initiatives spanning hundreds of engineers across multiple teams and organizations.
  • Effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
  • Balancing execution and velocity with security, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Experience mentoring and developing engineers and peers.
  • Adaptability and resilience in the face of novel technical and organizational challenges.
