Job Overview

This position requires an expert in crane maintenance and repair, with a strong understanding of electrical theory, mechanical systems, and structural elements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

  • The successful candidate will perform on-site repairs and maintenance on overhead cranes and hoists at customers' facilities.
  • Responsibilities will include conducting extensive on-site electrical, electronic, mechanical, and structural troubleshooting to determine the root cause of equipment malfunctions and/or failures.
  • Additionally, the technician will review all repairs performed with the customer and obtain their signature on the daily service report.
  • Maintenance of all company equipment and tools in compliance with manufacturers' recommendations and certifications is also a critical aspect of this role.
  • The successful candidate will also collect, develop, and formalize information for proposals of all replacement and repair opportunities.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in crane maintenance, including periodic annual inspections, is essential.
  • Knowledge and experience of safety standards and regulations as it relates to crane maintenance is also crucial.
  • A valid driver's license in good standing that meets company requirements is necessary.
  • The ability to work at heights greater than six feet above the ground is also required.
  • Service technicians typically work a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, but may be required to work varied hours, overtime, and on-call shifts as needed to meet customer demands.
