As a Field Service Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to customers.

Job Overview:

Provide timely and effective service-related support through phone and on-site visits. Attend field breakdowns and repair cranes efficiently. Maintain accurate service records and submit them promptly upon completion of repairs. Provide valuable feedback on component failure and train distributors on the commissioning of new products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with personnel to discuss service materials, product requirements, availability, and code compliance.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot warranty problems beyond the scope of distributors or customers.
  • Plan and coordinate activities to investigate and resolve customer reports of technical issues.
  • Perform trend analyses on technical problem reports to determine future design, production, service, and maintenance processes.

Requirements:

- High school diploma with 5+ years of technical service & support experience in crane or heavy equipment industry.

- OEM or dealer experience in heavy equipment/Crane background is advantageous.

- Specialist training in crane industry or on Manitowoc Cranes is beneficial.

- Trade certificate in Mechanical or Electrical trades with expertise in automotive and Canbus electrical diagnostics.

- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills in Electrical, hydraulic, engine, drive-line, braking, and general maintenance and repairs in Heavy equipment or LBCC and Mobile Cranes.

- Ability to read and work with electronic and hydraulic schematics.
