Job Summary:

This key role focuses on efficient route planning and coordination of metropolitan deliveries for a leading supermarket chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of run sheets, delivery schedules, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure regular communication with customers regarding their scheduled deliveries or any changes that may impact them.
  • Adhere to safety standards and COR requirements, including daily compliance tasks such as yard inspections, speed and fatigue audits, and load restraint checks.

Requirements:

  • Experience in transport load planning, driver or fleet allocation is beneficial but not essential – a positive attitude and willingness to learn are crucial.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, particularly experience with transportation management systems (TMS), is highly regarded.
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the Sydney metropolitan area is essential.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, remaining organized and efficient, is vital.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
