Senior Performance Marketing Manager Position Overview

A leading e-commerce business is dedicated to building an engaged and passionate community of customers worldwide.

We're seeking a skilled Senior Performance Marketing Manager to take charge of performance marketing across Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and emerging channels. This role involves scaling with precision, uncovering new growth opportunities, and driving consistent, measurable results.

This isn't a siloed position. You'll collaborate closely with our creative, category, pricing, product, and on-site teams to ensure no stone is left unturned. Whether it's surfacing new insights, building better funnels, or squeezing more from existing channels, you'll be at the centre of it all.

  • Develop and execute the end-to-end growth strategy and execution across Google and emerging platforms. Focus on maximising Lifetime Value (LTV) to Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) efficiency.
  • Collaborate with creative and brand teams to develop, test, and optimise ad creative. Use data-driven insights to continuously improve performance.
  • Drive a structured test and learn roadmap. Prioritise channels and tactics, design experiments to validate hypotheses, and define success metrics before scaling.
  • Contribute to Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) discussions and budget allocation. Leverage understanding of incrementality and channel interactions to guide smarter media investment and maximise Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance regularly. Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations. Bring fresh ideas, tools, and best practices into the business, fostering a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.
  • Work cross-functionally with category, pricing, product, and on-site teams. Ensure growth initiatives are integrated end-to-end and identify bottlenecks or opportunities beyond paid media.
  • Maintain a rigorous focus on ROI and sustainable growth. Balance quick wins with long-term scalable strategies that build lasting momentum.

The ideal candidate

  • 5+ years experience in a growth, performance, or analytics role within an e-commerce, marketplace, or similar B2C business. Proven track record of driving measurable growth in fast-paced digital environments.
  • Deep expertise in scaling Paid Search (Google) and/or Paid Social (Meta, TikTok) with significant budgets. Understand how to optimise campaigns for efficiency and growth at scale.
  • Strong analytical capability with hands-on experience building complex models in Sheets or similar tools. Experience with incrementality frameworks and Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM).
  • Hands-on experience with analytics and data tools such as GA4, FullStory, Looker, SQL, Python or similar. Comfortable extracting, manipulating, and interpreting data to uncover insights.
  • Startup or scale-up mindset. Thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. Curious, adaptable, and focused on impact.
  • Proven experience collaborating with creative teams to translate data into compelling, high-performing creative outputs. Ability to balance creativity with data-driven optimisation.
