Job Description

CJC is a leading team of specialists who bring global project experience and provide civil and structural engineering expertise. We work in partnership with various delivery agencies to provide technical support across all project stages.

The role involves overseeing contract execution, managing contractual obligations and mitigating risks while fostering positive relationships with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the contracting process with new clients, ensuring all legal aspects of the business are covered.
  • Develop and maintain a process for creating projects, including setting up SharePoint files and ensuring contracts are signed and stored correctly.
  • Monitor project processes to identify shortfalls and develop robust procedures for improvement.
  • Identify and monitor project risks, reporting emerging issues to the Commercial Team.
  • Oversee project processes daily to ensure the quality of deliverables.
  • Ensure tasks are completed on time, within budget and in scope, adhering to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the Tender Coordinator on bids and tenders, developing scope of works for each contract.
  • Work closely with the Finance team to maintain payment schedules, variations and claims for projects on a monthly basis.
  • Perform quality assurance on a daily basis to ensure project standards are met.
  • Manage both external and internal stakeholders on a daily basis.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management or a related field.
  • Proven experience in contract administration or project management within the civil engineering or construction industry, with a solid understanding of contract law and procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with contract management software and systems.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyse complex contractual documents and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
