Risk and Governance Manager Role Overview



This is an opportunity to contribute to governance and risk management in a value-driven organisation within residential aged care.



Main Responsibilities




  • Lead and integrate quality systems, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and governance requirements.
  • Support home managers in achieving compliance and provide guidance on governance.
  • Attend and assist with site audits, identifying trends and gaps in compliance.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and ensure training solutions are optimised.
  • Collaborate on IT, clinical, and quality system integration and monitor governance, risk, and compliance metrics.
  • Respond to regulatory requests and complaints, liaising with relevant bodies.


Requirements




  • A current National Police Certificate, meeting Aged Care Act requirements.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills, with strong knowledge of quality and risk management systems.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and computer skills, with 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in healthcare or aged care.
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills, with a genuine interest in the well-being of the elderly.
  • AHPRA Registration and clinical/nursing background are advantageous.
