Mental Health Nurse Specialist

Delmont Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our mental health team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, direct, and evaluate the delivery of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to patients in controlled situations, performing established nursing procedures.
- Implement nursing care based on patient care plans, in consultation with other members of the clinical team.
- Teach and support patients and their families/significant others in understanding and preventing psychiatric problems.
- Develop and evaluate treatment programs to meet changing patient needs, in conjunction with the patient's Treating Doctor, the Clinical Team, and the Patient, Family, and/or Carer.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of mental health nursing skills and knowledge of legislation guidelines and directives.
- Utilize comprehensive skills in verbal and written communication, including medication management and documentation.
Requirements:
- Mental Health Qualifications: Diploma, Certificate, or Masters
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a mental health setting
- Flexible working hours, strong communication and teamwork skills
