Job Title: Plant Operator

This position involves operating and maintaining civil plant and equipment safely and efficiently.

About the Role:
  • Operate and maintain civil plant and equipment safely and efficiently in line with relevant standards and procedures.
  • May be required to operate additional plant or machinery to meet operational needs.
  • Work independently and navigate to various sites, preferably with knowledge of the local area.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and collaborate with other work crews as directed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Reading and interpreting job instructions, manuals, and completing work records accurately.
  • Operating a range of civil plant and machinery, including excavators, backhoes, graders, and loaders.
  • Maintaining equipment, following cleaning procedures, and keeping accurate records such as safety checks and timesheets.
Requirements:
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Proven competency in operating a range of civil plant and machinery.
  • Sound understanding of plant operation standards.
  • Effective communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
Benefits:
  • A base salary ranging from $59,040 per annum with increments up to $67,436 per annum.
  • A 76 hour, 9 day fortnight.
