Job Title: Commercial Account Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced account manager to join our team. As an account manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, ensuring retention and growth of existing business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain technical competence and industry expertise
  • Direct daily activities of the account management team
  • Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis
  • Manage policy expirations and renewals
  • Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals
  • Monitor reports and take action on delinquent accounts, collecting outstanding balances
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
  • Active Property & Casualty licensing; professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
