Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our oncology day infusion unit on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care are provided.

About the Role

The Clinical Nurse will be responsible for supporting the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based, person-centred care. They will also demonstrate professional practice by adhering to standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based, person-centred care.
  • Demonstrate professional practice by adhering to standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and policies.
  • Foster a learning environment through clinical presentations to support professional development and provide supervision and teaching to peers, ENs, graduates and students.
  • Act as a valued member of the interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to team processes.
  • Collaborate with external partners to ensure high-quality care across the health care continuum.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with partners and support a customer service mindset for optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Current registration
  • 3 years' experience within an acute environment
  • Senior clinical nursing experience
  • 1-year minimum team leader or in-charge nursing experience (desirable)
  • Compliance with national standards
  • Ability to show initiative and work within a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passion for teaching, educating and up-skilling staff in operating theatres
