Operations Controller

JD Ross Energy is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Controller to join our team in Canberra CBD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient monitoring and control of multiple renewable energy assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Asset Managers to ensure the safe operation of assets at all times
  • Monitor and control assets via SCADA systems, reacting to plant and market notifications and alerts
  • Coordinate with TNSP's, AEMO, and other stakeholders regarding asset outages, generation constraints, or specific production/network conditions
  • Handle emergency calls from asset personnel or other stakeholders
  • Liaise with O&M Contractors to maximize availability
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical, or similar field
  • Experience with electricity generation and the electricity market
  • Proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and communication
  • Rigorous and analytical approach
  • Reliable, organized, and team-focused individual
  • Ability to work under intense operational pressure and sustain concentration levels for long periods
  • Fluent English language skills (written and spoken)
