About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Project Engineer to join our growing team in Canberra. As a key member of our Engineering & Construction (E&C) department, you will be responsible for the development of engineering designs, project management, and technical support for our renewable energy assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engineering designs for solar PV and battery energy storage systems
  • Manage and coordinate project timelines, budgets, and resources
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure compliance with technical standards and project specifications
  • Contribute to the development of project schedules and CapEx estimation
  • Coordinate and validate studies and projects with other technical support units
  • Represent EDPR interests in matters relating to jurisdiction and enforcement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • At least 2 years' experience in planning, engineering, and design of projects for PV Plants, BESS plants, substations, and high-voltage lines
  • Experience in permitting process of the above works is desirable
  • Experience in Wind Farm projects is desirable
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of PV & BESS plant planning, design, and engineering
  • Knowledge of power transmission systems, medium and high voltage substation electrical equipment, underground distribution systems
