Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Claims Investigator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating investigations into insurance claims, identifying potential fraudulent activity, and preparing reports on findings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain detailed records of investigations, including all relevant documents, interviews, and evidence collected
  • Manage a portfolio of claims effectively and assist other team members as needed
  • Engage with external investigation services to provide instructions on information needed during the investigation
  • Develop and review investigation plans to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Conduct thorough and objective investigations, adhering to high standards of regulatory compliance
  • Make acceptance or rejection decisions for claims based on sound evidence and communicate outcomes to customers

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in insurance claims investigation or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential fraudulent activity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office
  • A Certificate IV in Financial Services or a related qualification
