Job Title: Claims Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Claims Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our claims management function, you will play a critical role in resolving liability claims and providing exceptional service to our clients.

About the Role:

The Claims Specialist will be responsible for investigating, assessing, and resolving liability claims, as well as providing expert advice on indemnity, liability, and quantum. You will work closely with our clients, solicitors, loss adjusters, brokers, and barristers to ensure timely and cost-effective resolution of claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and assess liability claims to determine the extent of our liability
  • Provide expert advice on indemnity, liability, and quantum to our clients and their representatives
  • Liaise with third-party providers, including solicitors, loss adjusters, and brokers, to negotiate and resolve claims
  • Manage litigated claims to resolution, working closely with our legal team and external counsel
  • Resolve complaints in accordance with our company's guidelines and procedures

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in claims management, particularly in public liability and professional indemnity
  • Industry-specific qualifications, such as ANZIIF certifications, desirable
  • Strong customer service, communication, time management, organisation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in database and Microsoft Office applications
