The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Audit Senior to join our Newcastle team. As an Audit Senior, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering audit engagements, preparing financial statements and client reports, and providing on-the-job training for other colleagues. You will work closely with our Managers and Partners to deliver an exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of auditors to deliver high-quality audit engagements.
  • Technical Expertise: You will be responsible for ensuring that all audit engagements are conducted in accordance with relevant auditing standards and regulations.
  • Client Relationship Management: You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, understanding their business needs, and delivering tailored audit solutions.
  • Professional Development: You will be responsible for identifying and addressing the training and development needs of your team members, and ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • Professional Qualifications: CA or CPA qualified (or studying)
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of the Corporations Act, auditing standards, and accounting concepts
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Ability to demonstrate leadership and coaching skills, and to communicate effectively with clients and team members
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail
  • Accounting Software: Proficient understanding of accounting software, including CaseWare, APS, Xero, and MYOB
  • Language Skills: Excellent English language skills
  • Integrity and Ethics: Acts with integrity, honesty, trust, and respect
