Job Opportunity: Senior Health and Safety Coordinator / Safety Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Health and Safety Coordinator / Safety Manager to join our team at Constructability Recruitment. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project safety on civil construction projects up to $100m in value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective safety strategies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure safety protocols are integrated into project plans.
- Provide training and guidance to site personnel on safety procedures and protocols.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Requirements:
- Several years of experience in the field of health and safety, ideally with a civil contractor.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
