About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Aviation Safety and Quality professional to join our senior leadership team at the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. As the Head of Aviation Safety and Quality, you will be responsible for leading and managing our Aviation Safety and Quality strategies, systems, and activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Aviation Safety and Quality strategies and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Lead and manage the Aviation Safety and Quality team to ensure effective implementation of safety and quality management systems.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Provide high-level advice and guidance to the leadership team on Aviation Safety and Quality matters.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and forecasts to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Lead and advocate for organizational environmental initiatives and sustainability practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective implementation of safety and quality management systems.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in Aviation Safety and Quality, with a tertiary qualification in a related field. You will have demonstrated experience in leading and managing Aviation Safety and Quality teams, with a proven track record of implementing safety and quality management systems. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
