As a seasoned Senior Project Engineer at Ventia, you will play a pivotal role in driving the on-time delivery of our ODM program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor key construction milestones to identify and mitigate program risks, ensuring accurate information is captured in our VPL work management system.
  • Balancing of resources across programs to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Facilitate the tailoring of our Work Management System to accommodate multiple projects types across DCMA/BDOD programs of work.
  • Create and maintain project baseline timeframes to suit contractual obligations.
  • Work with logistics specialists to forecast material requirements and ensure risks associated with material availability are identified and mitigated.
  • Attend regular meetings with clients to raise and discuss issues around project delivery and provide updates on projects as required.

Financial Acumen:

  • Maximise revenue through a thorough understanding of client contracts.
  • Review and validate claims to clients, ensuring variations from subcontractors are valid and passed on to clients where possible.
  • Prepare and analyse financial data for monthly reporting within the business.
  • Analyse project PNL to identify actions required to improve financial performance.

SHEQ Compliance:

  • Perform regular SHEQ site audits, contribute to investigations, recommendations, and culture development.

Process Improvement:

  • Create processes, workflows, and team interactions on new programs of work.
  • Continuously review internal processes and implement improvements for the wider team.

Subcontractor Interfacing:

  • Procure subcontractors from EOI up to operational onboarding and monitor progress.
  • Review resource requirements and act accordingly, including procurement.
  • Participate in subcontractor briefings, such as tool box sessions.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Contribute to creating and supporting a climate that encourages innovation and receptivity to change.
  • Analyse project metrics and recommend changes for increased efficiency.
  • Perform duties as directed by the line manager.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Located in Australia.
