About the Role

Austin Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Director to lead our Specialty Mental Health Services. As a key member of our Mental Health Division, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our services, ensuring high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Mental Health Specialty Services directorate, incorporating the Brain Disorders Program, Psychological Trauma Recovery Service, Transitional Support Unit, and Consultation Liaison Psychiatry.
  • Collaborate with the Mental Health Divisional Medical Director to achieve goals and objectives consistent with the strategic plan of Austin Health.
  • Provide clinical leadership and direction to our services, ensuring high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Be a registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Hold a Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) or equivalent.
  • Have appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Psychiatry.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to high-quality patient care and a culture of excellence.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to teaching, training, and research.
