General Practice Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled medical professional to provide specialist services to inpatients and Emergency Department presentations at our community hospital.
About the Role- Provide safe, effective, evidence-based and patient-centred care as a visiting medical officer in general practice.
- Deliver a range of clinical services including admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth and on-call services.
- Pursue education and research opportunities as required by the healthcare organisation.
The successful candidate will possess a primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM, or equivalent overseas trained specialist pathways. They will also demonstrate expertise, scholarship, communication skills, collaboration, management, professionalism and advocacy.
What We Offer- A busy community hospital with an 18-bed acute medical ward and diverse visiting services.
- A five-day-a-week Medical Imaging service and visiting ultrasound service.
- An opportunity to work in a rural setting with a strong sense of community and camaraderie.
- Able to attend and be available during rostered work hours and while on-call.
- Participate in clinical handover, supervision, teaching and emergency care as required by the healthcare organisation.
