General Practice Specialist

A General Practice Specialist is required to provide comprehensive specialist services in the Emergency Department and inpatients at our hospital.
The ideal candidate will have a primary medical degree, Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
- Provide contemporary and professional specialist services.
- Admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth, and on-call services as determined by the organization.
- Provision of education and research as required.
- Attendance and availability during rostered work hours and whilst on-call.
- Clinical handover, clinical supervision, teaching, emergency and routine care as determined.
- Provision of education and research as determined.
- Evidence of being a medical expert with recent experience in general practice.
- Evidence of being a scholar with maintains medical professional development.
- Evidence of being a skilled communicator with both oral and written skills.
- Evidence of being a collaborator with ability to network and operate within an interdisciplinary framework.
- Evidence of being a manager with flexibility, leadership, and safety quality improvement activities.
- Evidence of being a professional with continued professional development, peer review, and clinical governance.
- Evidence of being an advocate for individual and societal health.
