The Role:

We are seeking an individual to coordinate the development of operational capability in relation to specialized equipment usage and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the issuing, servicing, testing, and unplanned maintenance of specialized equipment.
  • Engage with Brigades to deliver equipment relevant education.
  • Maintain accurate inventory lists for effective equipment management.
  • Liaise with external agencies related to equipment maintenance.
  • Provide advice on training materials, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Lead activities in relation to equipment purchasing and user evaluation.
  • Contribute to specific equipment initiatives to enhance RFSQ capability.
Essential Requirements
  • A proven commitment to maintaining bushfire competencies and operating in a team environment.
  • Capacity to participate out of hours shift roster during disaster operations.
  • Thorough knowledge of rural fire service concepts and strategies.
  • Ability to travel and work within their area of responsibility.
