Role Overview

The Operational Capability Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the development of operational capability within Rural Fire Service Queensland (RFSQ) Districts.

Main Responsibilities
  • Equipment Management: Coordinate the issuing, servicing, testing, and unplanned maintenance of specialized equipment.
  • Education Delivery: Engage with Brigades to deliver and/or facilitate equipment relevant education.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory lists for effective equipment management.
  • Liaison Services: Liaise with external agencies for emergency preparedness and response support.
Key Requirements
  • Meet the mandatory requirements and attributes as outlined in the generic RFSO2 role description.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Highly desirable: knowledge of or experience working with volunteers and/or within a volunteer organization.
Working Conditions

This is a day work position that may require flexible hours, including working at night on weekends as part of the role.
