About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Development Specialist to join our team at KU Children's Services. As a key member of our Early Intervention Programs, you will play a vital role in providing multidisciplinary early intervention supports for children aged birth to 12 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children with additional needs in play-based learning environments
  • Work collaboratively with families and other professionals to develop and implement individualized plans
  • Manage realistic and manageable caseloads with dedicated administration support
  • Participate in ongoing mentoring and training to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to maintaining a child-safe culture and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children in our services and programs
Requirements
  • Tertiary degree in Psychology
  • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Provisional Psychologist will need to independently arrange external supervision
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining respectful relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience in supporting the developmental needs of children
  • Experience in administering and scoring a range of assessments
  • Experience in report writing and providing feedback to families
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and oral
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office package and online databases
  • Meticulous time management and organisation skills
  • Current drivers' license and use of a comprehensively insured, registered motor vehicle
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Working with Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Check or willing to obtain
  • Medicare Provider number or willing to obtain
