Child Development Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Development Specialist to join our team at KU Children's Services. As a key member of our Early Intervention Programs, you will play a vital role in providing multidisciplinary early intervention supports for children aged birth to 12 years.
Key Responsibilities- Support children with additional needs in play-based learning environments
- Work collaboratively with families and other professionals to develop and implement individualized plans
- Manage realistic and manageable caseloads with dedicated administration support
- Participate in ongoing mentoring and training to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Contribute to maintaining a child-safe culture and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children in our services and programs
- Tertiary degree in Psychology
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Provisional Psychologist will need to independently arrange external supervision
- Experience in establishing and maintaining respectful relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Experience in supporting the developmental needs of children
- Experience in administering and scoring a range of assessments
- Experience in report writing and providing feedback to families
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Exceptional communication skills, written and oral
- Proficient using Microsoft Office package and online databases
- Meticulous time management and organisation skills
- Current drivers' license and use of a comprehensively insured, registered motor vehicle
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Check or willing to obtain
- Medicare Provider number or willing to obtain
